    Love them but.....

    I love boots and was blown away to see trees made just for them. I wear a size 11 so ordered the XL as advised. The problem is I can barely get them in my boots, they're just too large. It's not just one brand. I tried them in my AE and Fryes. My knee-jerk reaction was to re- order a size down, but in reading the reviews, people say doing that, they barely fill up the boot. I'm in a quandary, also afraid they might stretch the boots to unwearable proportions if I really ram them inside the boot. I'm considering getting a sander to try to shave them down a bit but don't have a bench belt sander to do that so it would need to be some dangerous diy affair. Otherwise, the trees are amazing. Solid, the scent is heavenly and they should make polishing my boots a breeze. I bought 3 to start but if I can find a way to shave them a bit smaller will order more. A shame to pay $50 a pop and then need to operate on them. My suggestion would be to have a better spring action to make them expand more and then make them slightly smaller to truly accommodate the sizes they say.

    Boot Tree review

    The material is awesome, really good quality without any doubt. The only downside that I noticed is that the movable part (foot area) does not allow itself to fit the boot very well as it tends to open wider while inserting the tree even when it is not needed. Every time while inserting the cedar tree I have to manually accommodate the foot part to allow the cedar tree go all the way under the boot. Pretty irritating.

    Great boot tree and great price. The good boot tree is hard to find and it is a very well made. It is a little hard to put in the boot.

    A quality product

    This boot tree is excellent. The cedar smell is very nice. The fit is a little loose in my size E width boots, but I would prefer that over stretching the leather too much. I would definitely recommend.

    Good quality and height

    I have two of these for Allen Edmonds Stirling and Long Branch. The fit overall is nice, at about 6” tall, they are the perfect for the Long Branch (flush at the top once they are in) and stick roughly 1.5” out from the Stirling, which is a shorter boot. Materials and construction are the usual quality of other Woodlore cedar products, nice aroma, finish, etc.

    Quality Product

    Exactly what I was looking for in a boot tree. I wear a size 11 and the XL fits perfectly. Definitely a high quality product and the cedar is a very welcomed scent after long days of wear.

    Well received addition to my wardrobe

    Overall I was quite pleased with the craftsmanship of the boot trees. I can already see how they will help in maintaining my boots. My one complaint is that they did not fit snug enough in the heel of my boots which leads to slippage when working with them unlaced. The slippage issue is honestly a minor gripe and does not really effect my overall satisfaction with this product.
