I use a spacer between each of my stacked cedar shoe racks. These are only necessary if you plan on storing Boots or High tops on a stacked shoe rack but i like having the extra space for all my shoes as the extra room makes it easier to take shoes in and out. If Woodlore would just make the shoe racks an inch or so taller these wouldn't be necessary most of the time.

This should be a pretty simple design, but the problem is unlike the shoe racks there are no screws, and the dowels this relies on entirely do not fit securely into any of the side pieces. With a dowel design like this there should be a little bit of play but largely press fit into the holes. Here they are all entirely loose and so using 1 or 2 of the levels provide are not se are at all. Not a QC issue bc all the packs of dowels are the same size as are the drilled holes. The holes need to be drilled smaller or a larger diameter dowel included. I'm considering returning or using wood glue. Quality is just inconsistent with other products or the rack this goes with

This is second time I have bought 3 large shoe racks and topper.I recommend the extenders.I love this product!
Worked just as described. I have larger shoes so one extender per rack is required. For my 6" boots I needed to put two extenders between reach rack to get enough room.
one of the extenders I purchased only had holes drilled on one side making it useless..
